Meet the founders

Kevin & Julie
Doan.

Founded by Kevin and Julie Doan, Multea Choice combines international business experience, food science expertise and a shared commitment to quality that reaches back to Taiwan.

Kevin brought years of international technology, operations and franchising experience into hospitality. Julie brought something rarer — a decade in R&D at Nestlé, developing beverages for global markets. Together, they built something neither could have done alone.

Our Culinary Director brings a scientific background, Michelin-style plating technique and a deep expertise in Vietnamese and Asian cuisine to every dish Multea serves.

A medal-winner at Master Chef of Foodex 2026, Chef Kim Mai now represents Multea Choice on Top Chef Vietnam — broadcast nationally on VTV3 every Monday from 22 June 2026.

Every Multea ingredient traces back to Taiwan — sourced directly, with no intermediaries. We work closely with trusted Taiwanese producers to ensure our drinks remain true to their origins while meeting the highest quality standards.

Julie travels to Taiwan annually to select new harvests, develop new recipes and maintain the supplier relationships that make Multea drinks different from everything else in the UK market.

Every harvest

Kevin travels to Taiwan each year to walk the rows, inspect the harvest and select the ingredients that will define the menu for the coming season. This isn't delegated to a broker — it's a personal commitment to quality that runs through every drink we make.

The relationships we've built with Taiwanese farmers mean we source direct — no intermediaries, no compromise on origin or freshness.

2020

Founded

Multea Choice is founded by Kevin and Julie Doan with a vision to bring authentic Taiwanese tea culture to the UK.

2021

First store opens

Our first London location opens, establishing the store format and service model that every subsequent site follows.

2022

Netherlands expansion & Twickenham

Multea Choice opens in Twickenham and expands into the Netherlands — the first Taiwanese bubble tea franchise to cross into mainland Europe under this model.

2023–24

UK network grows

New sites open across West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Manchester and further South London locations. Franchise model is refined with each opening.

2025

12+ locations

Guildford opens. Franchise recruitment active. Vietnamese street food expands at New Malden flagship.

2026

Wales, Clapham & Balham

Three new locations open. Chef Đoàn Kim Mai represents Multea Choice on Top Chef Vietnam — broadcast nationally on VTV3. Vietnamese cuisine reaches the national stage.
